Subsidies
I work with the Danish health insurance "Sygeforsikring danmark" on reimbursing the amounts above after treatment. Sygeforsikring danmark is a private, non-profit health insurance that many people living in Denmark are members of. Reimbursement is often possible if one of the 11 referral criteria is met. The amounts are listed under each type of session above.
Unfortunately, I do not have a provider number (ydernummer) in the public health system, so I cannot accept GP referrals with a subsidy through the public health insurance scheme.
Many people can get a subsidy or fully paid sessions with a psychologist through private or employer-paid insurance. Contact your insurance company if you are unsure whether you are entitled to a subsidy. In special cases, your local municipality (kommune) may also provide a subsidy.
Cancellations and surcharges
- Cancellations must be made in advance and no later than 24 hours before the booked time. If you do not turn up or cancel too late, the full fee will be charged.
- Evening sessions: A surcharge of DKK 300 applies to sessions after 4 pm.
- Therapy at home: Travel time is charged at half the hourly rate per hour, within 30 km. Beyond this radius, the state mileage rate is also charged (DKK 3.73 per km).
Payment terms
Invoices for services from Psychologist Marlene Lyby must be paid within 8 days of the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Late payment incurs interest under the Danish Interest Act (renteloven), at 1.5% per month or part of a month, plus a reminder fee of DKK 100 per reminder sent. Non-payment may lead to the matter being passed to a debt collection agency without further notice.
