Stress treatment with me
Do you feel as if you are drowning in your life? Stress is not a diagnosis but a state of overwhelm that arises when you have far too much on your plate. It might be about work, family, life changes or something else entirely.
When I work with stress, we start by mapping out what is causing stress in your life. Then I help you calm your body through relaxation exercises, so you can get a clearer view of your thoughts. Finally, we work on concrete strategies, so you can act differently and avoid ending up in the same situation again.

What is stress, and what does it feel like?
Stress is the body's natural reaction to pressure. It is a biological mechanism that helps you deal with challenges, but when stress becomes prolonged or overwhelming, it can lead to burnout and a constant feeling of working overtime.
Stress shows up physically, mentally and emotionally:
🔹 Physically: Palpitations, tension in the body, headaches, tiredness and sleep problems.
🔹 Mentally: Difficulty concentrating, memory problems and constant worry.
🔹 Emotionally: Irritability, sadness, having nothing left to give and feeling overwhelmed.
Why does stress develop, and when is it dangerous?
Stress arises when the demands of your surroundings exceed the resources you feel you have available. This can be due to:
- Challenges in your private life, such as conflict, illness or major changes.
- High pressure at work or unreasonable expectations.
- Perfectionism or a tendency to make excessive demands of yourself.
Short-term stress can help you perform better under pressure, but if stress continues without breaks, it can lead to serious problems such as burnout, anxiety and depression.
If you have symptoms of stress, it is important to take them seriously and seek help. Stress can be treated, and with the right support you can find balance and calm in your life again.

How can I help you?
Stress is not a diagnosis but a complex state that we can work on together. First, I help you understand how your stress has developed, and how you relate to your feelings when you become overwhelmed. Together we find new ways of handling your feelings – and we practise them, so they become a natural part of your everyday life.
We also make a plan for how you can reduce the impact of stress – either through exercises that strengthen your inner calm, or by working on how you can say no to things in your surroundings.
I work in an emotion-focused and body-focused way, because stress often settles in your thoughts, your feelings and your body. That is why body-based work has an important place in therapy as I help you find your way back to an everyday life with more clarity and more energy to spare.
How do I book, and what does it cost?
🔹 Price: DKK 1,100 per session.

How do I work?
Trust and confidentiality
Starting a therapeutic process and opening up to someone you don't know can feel vulnerable. I understand that completely, and I take great care to create a safe and confidential space for your change. The focus of our conversations will vary, and nothing is too big or too small to bring up. I know that the relationship between us matters most, so the method is adapted to you – not the other way round.
Body and emotions
I work with relationships – both your relationships with others, such as your partner, children, siblings or parents, and your relationship with yourself. Relationships are central to how you relate to your emotions and your wellbeing. My aim is to help you understand your emotional patterns and give you tools that make it easier to live in the present and sense yourself with clarity.
The framework
I offer a free introductory call because I know that the relationship between us is crucial to your therapy. The course of therapy is adapted to your process, so there is no fixed recipe for how often we should meet or how many sessions you need. It depends on your needs and your progress.
Why in-person therapy?
Meeting in person creates a particularly present and safe setting for therapy. Here we can work directly with bodily signals, facial expressions and the energy in the room, which can be a valuable part of the process. I keep waiting times short, so you can get an appointment quickly – often within a week.
