How I can help

Couples therapy

Book a sessionPrices

Introduction: What is couples therapy?

Couples therapy with me is about helping you with the challenges you are experiencing in your relationship. Together we look at the habits and patterns that have developed between you, and I help you break negative dynamics and create new, constructive strategies.

Online couples therapy can be used both to strengthen a relationship that is working well and to repair something that has broken. The therapy is for couples who want to take care of their relationship – whether you are in the middle of a difficult period, want to prevent future challenges or simply want to nurture what you already have together.

I help you see each other again and rediscover the resources you may no longer notice. At the same time, I guide you towards deeper conversations and give you concrete tools to handle the challenges you are facing. Drawing on my professional knowledge of communication, conflict resolution and relationship dynamics, I take the lead in the conversation when needed and suggest ways you can create change and find new paths together.

What happens in a couples therapy session?

We always start from what you want to achieve. Already in the first session, we talk about what you hope to get out of therapy, and you tell me a little about your relationship and the challenges you are experiencing.

After the first conversation, I meet each of you individually. Here we go into your personal life stories to understand each of you better – how you see love, how you handle conflict and how you communicate. These individual sessions give me a deeper insight that strengthens our further work with you as a couple.

When we meet again as a couple, I share some of the most important insights from the individual sessions. Together we then decide which areas you want to focus on, and what your goals for therapy should be.

How many sessions you need depends on your goals and your process. The longer you wait to seek help, the longer it can take to rebuild trust and security. That never means it is too late – but prevention is more effective than repair. Some couples need only a few sessions, while others choose a longer course. Therapy is always adapted to your needs and pace, so you can work on your relationship in a meaningful way.

How do I work?

Trust and confidentiality

Starting a therapeutic process and opening up to someone you don't know can feel vulnerable. I understand that completely, and I take great care to create a safe and confidential space for your change. The focus of our conversations will vary, and nothing is too big or too small to bring up. I know that the relationship between us matters most, so the method is adapted to you – not the other way round.

Body and emotions

I work with relationships – both your relationships with others, such as your partner, children, siblings or parents, and your relationship with yourself. Relationships are central to how you relate to your emotions and your wellbeing. My aim is to help you understand your emotional patterns and give you tools that make it easier to live in the present and sense yourself with clarity.

The framework

I offer a free introductory call because I know that the relationship between us is crucial to your therapy. The course of therapy is adapted to your process, so there is no fixed recipe for how often we should meet or how many sessions you need. It depends on your needs and your progress.

Why in-person therapy?

Meeting in person creates a particularly present and safe setting for therapy. Here we can work directly with bodily signals, facial expressions and the energy in the room, which can be a valuable part of the process. I keep waiting times short, so you can get an appointment quickly – often within a week.
