Data-informed therapy

What is data-informed therapy?

As part of your treatment, I can offer you data-informed online therapy as a way to get data on your progress. This is done using the app Neuwell, where you answer a few questions about your wellbeing and mental health each day or each week, and I can then draw on this throughout your online therapy to support the process.

Data-informed online therapy has been shown to have several benefits. First, many people find it motivating to follow their own progress, which is shown to you visually as a graph. Second, the daily reflection is itself part of the treatment and adds to its effect, on top of our regular sessions. Third, it puts you back in charge, letting you take ownership of your own development and process as we explore together what your treatment process looks like and what it means to you.

How does it work?

In data-informed online therapy, we design a few relevant questions together that you answer daily, so we can follow your progress in therapy. I then guide you in how to answer the questions and how to keep track of your data. In therapy, we look at the data in graphs together and use them as support for understanding and anticipating the process you are in.

So if you are interested and comfortable with it, I would encourage you to include data in your online therapy. I will ask you about it at our first session, and of course you are always welcome to say no.

Your data is presented to you as graphs, and naturally I will support and help you to read them and make sense of them in relation to your online therapy process.
